2Pi-Jobs is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
The Human Health Manager will serve as the primary focal point for technical engagement with the Government of Indonesia, particularly the Ministry of Health, on behalf of KITA SEHAT. The role will contribute to the development and delivery of human health workplans and support activities that support Indonesia’s One Health agenda.

Job Responsibilities

Work with the Health Policy and Systems Lead to provide technical advice and guidance to the Ministry of Health (MoH) on a range of topics, as relevant to program objectives.
Engage with MoH to set up meetings, workshops and discussion groups required to design, schedule and implement project activities; facilitate discussions to identify problems and address how these issues might be improved.
Support the development and implementation of a sub-national program of activities to strengthen human health and One Health delivery at province, district and field levels.
Support the development of coordination and collaboration with cross government ministries and agencies, including Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), and other relevant ministries and agencies.
Provide technical input to the Program Steering, Technical, and Provincial Committees.
Coordinate with the Animal Health Manager and health security and animal health technical experts to align project One Health efforts and activities.
Work with the KITA SEHAT team to develop coherent approaches and activities to support timely and effective delivery.
Assist in identifying and engaging with health care providers, health related institutions, relevant projects and programmes, and wider stakeholders.
Assist with identification and prioritisation of research topics in line with national priorities; assist in identifying and engaging with potential local and Australian technical partners/collaborators, such as health agencies and research institutes.
Monitor overall activity progress against agreed targets, milestones, and outputs.
Undertake other tasks as requested by the Health and Policy Systems Lead.

Other Educational Qualification

An advanced degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or related field.

Skills

Minimum of 8 years of program management experience in international agencies on development projects.
Sound understanding of public health, health systems and One Health issues in Indonesia.
Excellent interpersonal skills including dealing both directly and indirectly with government officials and other development partners at various levels.
Demonstrated experience building relationships and working with GOI stakeholders.
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to contribute to producing high-quality reports, policy briefs, and technical inputs.
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with proven ability to engage effectively in both languages.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and other IT applications in common usage.
Demonstrated ability to work productively in a diverse, fast-paced environment, and to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
Demonstrated experience working with donor-funded (strong preference for DFAT) development programs in a multi-culture stakeholder environment, and in an international, compliance-oriented organisation is highly preferable.
